Kalaimagai Tamil school, Sg.Petani is short of classrooms, So Standard Two and Three pupils have to attend afternoon classes (Makkal Osai 7/11/09 at page 6). But this does not happen to any Malay or Chinese school children. It only happens to Tamil School children.

Early this year it was reported in the Tamil Newspapers that the already poor and working class Indian parents had to buy chairs and tables from their own funds for this school.

Education in any part of the world is the responsibility and is fully borne financially by the government. The only exception is for Tamil schools in Malaysia where chairs, tables, books, library, additional buildings and new buildings have to be bought and built by the already existing poor and working class Indians.

Not only for this school but for almost all of the 523 Tamil schools in Malaysia suffer the same fate. Also almost all of these 523 Tamil schools do not have a library, school field and an assembly hall as is built in almost all every Malay or Chinese school.

This is also because even PKR, DAP and PAS in Kedah, Penang, (earlier) Perak and Selangor state governments have refused to grant land for these Tamil schools. So the UMNO Federal government has refused to make these schools fully aided schools when the land does not belong to them. And so goes the state of most of these Tamil schools looking like cow sheds even after 52 years of Independence and with Malaysia having the world’s tallest Twin Towers.

These atrocities do not happen even in the poorest part of Africa where the schools are fully built and funded by even their worst African dictatorship regimes.

But only in Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s One Malaysia these atrocities can happen to the Malaysian Indians.
