100,000 more foreign workers means continuing misery for the Indian workers as this policy only serves to keep the wages depressed in the country. This benefits the UMNOPutras and the other business owners but certainly not the Indian workers. Part of the reason for the lack of development of human capital in Malaysia is this policy which keeps the large majority of the people  trapped in poverty -of which the Indians are the worst hit .

Besides , the foreign workers land up in many cases to be junior partners in many small businesses.  Had it not been for these foreign workers, the stall owners would be forced to give their stall to the Indians and share their profits with the Malaysian Indians instead of with the foreigners.  Indonesians and Muslim Myanmarese who easily pass off as local Malays and have taken away most of the food and other petty trading stalls and businesses which otherwise may have gone to the Malaysian Indians. Cleaning contracts would have been give to the Indians if not for the foreign workers doing the cleaner jobs for UMNO cronies who get the contracts.

With this latest UMNO decision to allow 100,000 more foreign workers thousands more Indians would be pushed out of the estates, out of jobs as security guards, cleaners, factory and construction workers etc. Even taxi drivers jobs are taken up by Bangladeshis and Pakistanis.

Just so UMNO cronies can continue to keep the gravy.
