UMNO: 1.39% Indian Civil servants allowed in Johor. Almost zero Indian intakes in PR ruled states, zero at top level executive and managerial positions

UMNOs’ usual excuse for this miserably low Indian civil servants is that the Indians did not apply or were not interested in government jobs. (See The Star 30/3/10 at page N26).

As late as 1969, based on Dr.Mahathir’s book The Malay Dilemma at page 68, he estimated the total Indian civil servants to be about 50%.

How could Indian interest in the civil service nationwide drop by 4,900% from 50% to a mere 1% or so within a space of only forty years? This is ethnic cleansing of Indians from the civil service! Is there any other word for it?

We hardly see advertisements for civil servants being advertised in all the three Tamil newspapers, the two Tamil Radio Stations and during TV Tamil news buletins. But somehow this civil service vacancies reaches the Malay muslims we believe through the JKKK and the UMNO Divisions and branches.

There is almost zero Secretary Generals and Deputy Secretary Generals of any Ministry (except the labour Ministry), almost zero Directors Generals, Directors, Heads of Department, Managers, national school headmasters, etc who are Indians.

There is zero Indian Vice Chancellors in any of the 20 public universities in Malaysia. Zero District Officers and ADO District Councils, Municipal Council Presidents, and Mayors even in the PR ruled states of Kedah, Penang and Selangor. Even in the PKR, DAP and PAS ruled states almost zero Indians were taken in their two years rule.

In the top executive and managerial levels we have been informed that there has been zero new appointments or promotions in these P.R ruled states.

Even the few Indian civil servants in both the UMNO and also PR states retire and eventually die as extremely frustrated individuals because of the token promotion and salary increament propects however deserving they are even in the three P.R ruled states.

PR promised change. Where is the change?
