Poor Indian brilliant students denied scholarships & University under UMNOs’ Malay muslim supremacy policy.
It was yet another revelation of injustice against innocent Malaysian Indians by the UMNO Barisan Nasional Government. It was yet another revelation of injustice against innocent Malaysian Indians by the UMNO Barisan Nasional Government.
This time around it reveals the cruel intention of UMNO in which to nip the bud of Indian brilliant students from becoming professional and reputable citizens who would take Malaysia into the international arena.
This discrimination against the SPM high achievers by denying their rights to pursue in local Matriculation and Public Universities and dropping them from the government scholarship list is no difference then a planned terrorist attack against innocent civilian group of women and children. Destroying their future intentionally!!!
Almost all these Indian students came from middle and low incoming families .Mr.Poobalan from Sungai Siput is an ambulance driver earning RM800 a month whereas his wife working as a cleaner with RM500 monthly salary. He already finding it difficult to support his 3 brilliant daughters , all in MRSM colleges. How could he possibly effort a private college for her daughter who scored 8As ?
Prahsanna . Ever since her childhood days she grew up with an ambition to become a doctor. Parents, teachers and the community leaders motivated her saying to become a doctor she had to shine in her academic qualification. She took up the challenge. Worked hard day and night and proved she is capable of achieving her ambition to become a doctor by scoring 11As. However her dreams were shattered when all her applications to enter Matriculation, Local Universities and JPA scholarship were turndown without any reasons, and in return when she approached the Putra Jaya officials she was told to drop her ambitions!!! How would a sober person justify this!! Her father is a retired man mother is a housewife, who would help this young achiever’s dream come true if not the government??
Malay Muslim students from Pair Salak MRSM who scored 7 Ds and 8 Es managed to secure a place in Matriculations, whereas Menaka who scored 8As from the same college is now rejected her higher education rights by the UMNO led Barisan Nasional Government!! She is now like a beggar knocking every government agencies doors to get their mercy!!! Is this the 1 Malaysia concept Prime Minister Najib is advocating for??
About 7600 students were identified as “Excellent Students” or “ Pelajar Cemerlang”
Upon their SPM results were announced this year. There are about 50,000 Matriculation seats available. Doesn’t the government should have came running to them securing their places in those 50,000 seats immaterial of their race and religion? Isn’t that not how you polish and motivate the human capitals?
These are only the tip of iceberg, we are receiving calls from all over the country, which we estimate there are about 300 over such disappointed high achievers. Most of them are waiting to see if their appeal will be answered favoring them on the 4th June 2010.
We wish them the best, it’s the prime Minister and the Higher Education Minister should be liable for the events might take place if this innocent future generation were to be slapped with further disappointment.
