The NRD Director General Datuk Alwi Ibrahim says that only the Syariah Courts have the jurisdiction to determine the religious status of (even non muslims). (The Star 21/5/2010 at page N38).

The NRD has no powers to change the name or religious status of non muslims unless a Civil Court decides so. But the 1,016,779 UMNO’s racist and religious extremist Biro Tatanegara graduates take the law into their own hands and implement religious extremist policies which does not happen in any other part of the world.

The NRD has caused and is continuing to cause racial and religious disharmony and tensions under UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak’s directions. They have not spared even poor orphan Darshini who at four years of age had her name converted to Darshini binti Selvarajoo at a Welfare Home. Her adoptive mother Madam Valliammal even died at 52 out of heartache because of this and the other acts of racism against her adopted daughter.

And in her adulthood Darshini would face the very same problem faced by Banggaramma where her children would not be issued Birth Certificates and Identity Cards and this problem moving to her children and the next generations.

So that the Indians can be kept diverted into this and scores of other government mundane red tape problems as a shrewd UMNO strategy of keeping the Indians out of the national mainstream development of Malaysia especially in the fields of education, jobs, licences, permits and economic opportunities.

This level of racism, religious extremism and supremacy does not happen in any other part of the world.
