Chinese schools with lesser problems will be resolved but no Tamil school critical problems resolved
June 8, 2010 // s.jayathas // News, Tamil Schools
Up to 70% of Malaysia’s economy is controlled by the economically powerful Chinese.
The Chinese form a majority in about 50 Parliamentary seats. With this economic and political power the Chinese, with the power of media by The Star and all the Chinese language newspapers backing them, the community in Malaysia are far, far better placed than the Indians who have neither the economic power nor have even one majority seat in any of the 222 parliamentary or 576 state assembly seats! And neither does the supposedly multi-racial PKR, DAP and PAS top Malay and Chinese leaders speak up for the Indian poor who merely watch over the ‘blood letting’ by the racist UMNO regime. Thus is the critical state of the 8% ethnic minority Indians in Malaysia.
While this old Kampong Baru Subang Chinese school would be resolved in due course most Tamil schools have been denied state land, denied full financial aid and are forced to buy their own school tables, chairs, set up libraries, put up fencing, (build their own annex kindergardens and annex buildings, etc., are relocated to below high tension electricity cables or in flood phone areas, and most in buildings in near cowshed like colonial ear structures.
But UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak says this is one Malay-sia while PKR DAP and PAS say that this ‘multi-racialism’!
