As soon as the Hindraf and HRP members left the Sintahmani Divine Life Orphanage (Ashram) , we received an SOS call from the members of Perianna Hindu Temple at Jinjang Utara which was demolished by DBKL on 25^th June 2010 . The caller told us that the DBKL officers are about to approach them and expressed their fear that if the temporary structure is rebuild to place the Vikraha of Goddes Kali it will be demolished again.

As we reached the location we can see a group of concerned and worried Hindus waiting for us eagerly. While we were about to interview Madam Kasiamma , the temple caretaker the DBKL authorities led by MIC Mandore Raja arrived.

As soon as they arrived , the MIC Mandore as they had been doing in the last 53 years approached Madam Kasiamma and tried to convince and confuse her by saying that a piece of (temporary) land for the temple was allocated some distance away and showed a letter from DBKL. At this point Hindraf and HRP National coordinator W.Sambulingam stopped him and said “enough of letters and wayang kulits issues. Show us the land title which is supposed to be issued instead” . At this point the MIC mandore tried to raise his voice with his accompanied 2 other sub mandores, however they went silent when Hindraf supporters begin to roar against them.

Sambulingam said the letter does not make any difference with the one earlier issued by MIC Deputy Minister mandore Saravanan which was questioned and ignored by even the lowest level DBKL enforcement personnel on 25^th June 2010. He also said the 2^nd letter brought by the MIC mandore today does not have the needed details such as the land title number surveyor number, status of the allocated land ( free hold / Lease hold) size of the land and so on. Not satisfied with the MIC mandores answer he stopped talking to him and requested the DBKL officers who were hiding behind the MIC mandores to come forward and explain.

Datuk Amin Nordin bin Abd Aziz , Timbalan Pengarah Perkhitmatan DBKL then came forward. He was posed with the same questions and the only answer he gave was that letter will be issued by the DBKL to build a place of worship. Asked if a title will be issued he said no. When rubbished on the validity of the letter his answer was not convincing. All he could say was the evasive and empty cakap kosong “surat kebenaran akan diberi , lepas itu serahkan pelan kuil , bila kami beri kelulusan sudah boleh bina kuil” The Datuk again said that a special letter will be issued and then left the scene.

Now , how could the poor caretaker hire someone to draw her a plan , even if she could will she be able to build the temple on her own? DBKL will not allow for a wooden structure! When she can’t meet DBKL requirement, the land that they “propose” will remain unattended and as such DBKL will once again acquire the land for some other projek pembanguna and there goes another temple off the Malaysian soil surface and yet again the Indians cheated by UMNO and their MIC mandores. A well organized UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak’s plan aided and abetted by the MIC Mandores.
