No more though after the 25th November 2007 Hindraf Rally.

Jalan Ponniah was about the only ‘Indian’ road name in Mentakab, Pahang. UMNO unilaterally took off the name to this road and gave it a Malay name. The UMNO Pahang’s MIC mandores went down on their knees and begged and begged UMNO for the return of this name.

And now finally UMNO restores this Jalan Ponniah name. And the MIC mandores publicly via the Tamil press express gratitude to their UMNO tuans for this.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of this kind of UMNO political rhetoric.

Previously UMNO played the same game by wanting to close down Tamil and Chinese schools, closing down the Indian Studies Department in University Malaya, no 12 subjects for SPM, etc.

And now the latest being the proposed abolishment of UPSR exams in all schools!

We must commend UMNO for despite all these blatant racist and supremacist political rhetoric they remain about the last ruling regimes still ruling for 53 years in a row without a break in the chain.

But Umno must rest assured that when the Opposition comes to power all their meanderings will be undone, and the country will revert back to it’s 1957 constitution!
