HRP will otherwise be at PKR, DAP and PAS’ mercy if no Project 15/38. (See The Star 10/8/10 at page N6)
The 1st Hindraf National Convention moto on 8/8/10 is “ Rights not Mercy” (see The Star 10/8/10 page 6)
HRP could have taken the easy way out and become mandores to the tuans, tuan hajis and towkays in PKR, PAS and DAP. But then we would have to go a la begging PKR, PAS and DAP for seats. And even if when we are given some seats it is at PKR, DAP and PAS absolute mercy like how MIC has been in existence under UMNO’s mercy for 53 long years but remains underpowered.
UMNO, PKR, PAS and DAP only want the Indian votes. Not their welfare or well being.
HRP is going for broke. From the 1.2 million Indian voters we create 15 and 38 Indians majority Parliament and state seats and become politically empowered, and never a mandore of PKR, DAP, PAS or UMNO.
In the light of the last general elections where the popular votes were 51% for B.N. and 49% for P.R. When we succeed mustering the 1.2 million or the 8% of the Indian voters to change their voting address to HRP’s 15 Parliament and 38 state seats and converting the 1.2 million Indians voters into 15 Parliament and 38 state seats, then and only then will the Indians become politically empowered and would be in a position to effect changes from the top to bottom.
It is the third year that PKR, DAP and PAS are ruling Selangor, Penang and Kedah. When PKR, DAP and PAS has made no or very little change in these 3 seats they are not going to make significant changes vis a vis the Indian poor when they get to Putrajaya.
Only HRP’s 15 Parliament and 38 state seats will be the check and balance on PKR, DAP and PAS. Like the role the tiny Liberal Party played in bringing down the Labour Party and their support the Conservative party came to power.
We are not prepared to give PKR, DAP and PAS a blank cheque.
With Buntong emerging as the first Indian majority seat at 54% Indians this will cause a domino effect on HRP’s Project 15/38.
And from there on we hope to make changes and end the mysery of the Indian poor under the hands of both UMNO/BN and also PKR, DAP and PAS/P.R.
