In most civil societies the majority always take pride in speaking for the minority. In One Malay-sia the majority Malay muslims and the minority are indoctrinated in the UMNO racial and religious supremacy, almost 99.9% speak up for the Malay poor and at times for the Chinese, orang asli, Iban and Kadazan. But almost always never for the poor and politically powerless Indians.
The present pressing and critical Indian problems would only draw the necessary attention if the likes of Zainon Ahmad’s Abdullah Badawi, Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang and Lim’s who have had an estate background had Indian friends or were taught by Indian teachers and likely to more understand the Indian problem were to also speak up for the Indian poor.
We often times get accused of being racist when we seriously raise the pressing Indian problems.
If any only if the aforesaid bi-racial One Malay-sians had also lend voice to the minority Indian poor as would be done in any developed or western civil society, then Hindraf and HRP would not have been born.
