Indian Mandore police Chief Inspector

In the midst of all these UMNO’s abuses and violations, the most senior police officer in charge as usual was an Indian police “mandore” one Chief Inspector Balasubramaniam who under UMNO’s instructions ordered the arrest of the five of us and not the real criminals whom he had witnessed demolishing the Hindu temple and smashing up the deities therein, causing injuries to myself and Vellu and unlawfully arresting the three others. But I was later informed by lawyer Manoharan Malayalam that this police officer had a small deity of Lord Ganesha in his office room at the Setapak police station. A classical case of ‘padikirathu thevaram idikerathu sivan kovil’ meaning reciting the Hindu prayers ‘thevaram’ but on the contrary demolishing Sivan temples.
