S. Jayathas, P. Uthayakumar and Johnson Doss arrived from K.L on the eve of the Chitra Pournami festival at Teluk Intan at about 7.30 p.m. Hindraf Secretary and Perak HRP Chief P. Ramesh also arrived about that time.

The giant screen and projector screened Hindraf and HRP videos while Uthayakumar started the meeting and greeting supporters and well wishers right up to about 11.30 p.m. The Tekul Intan HRP and Hindraf Taneer Panthal were organized by the local supporters and activists led by Suresh, Guru ARC Moorthy, and others.

We were up on our feet again the next morning from 9.00 a.m to about 5.00 p.m. Some 1,000 or so copies of the Hindraf/HRP newspapers and 500 of the latest Hindraf videos showing supporters ordered to be bashed up by UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak C.D’s were sold.

Uthayakumar met and greeted some 200 over supporters including an elderly lady who had strongly protested against Uthayakumar’s denial of medical treatment outside the Brickfields police station in 2008. It was an emotional moment for Uthayakumar and this sincere supporter who are meeting for the first time after his release after 514 days of ISA detention without trial on 9/5/2009.

Thereafter we had a meeting with the Teluk Intan HRP activists to plan contesting in DUN Hutan Melintang in the 13th General Election after Parliament Ipoh Barat and DUN Buntong. A Q & A followed and the meeting ended at about 7.00 p.m.
