Hindraf Rally briefing at Tivoli Villas

On the way back I called David and told him and the other main people that I did not get to speak to at Klang earlier to adjourn to my residence. I managed to have a quick shower and some dinner before the said Hindraf supporters came in at about 10. 00 p. m. . There were about twenty of them. As my small living room did not have enough chairs, many sat on the floor. I briefed them Final Book on the court case proceedings briefly and told them of some more possible police clampdown before the 25th day of November 2007 Hindraf rally.

Just before that I got to watch the 8. 00 p. m. TV3 news where UMNO made us look like criminals out to create trouble and chaos. In fact over the previous one week the UMNO controlled print and electronic media heightened their all out Hindraf bashing spree and propaganda telling the Indians not to attend the 25th day of November 2007 peaceful assembly which was further intensified as the days got closer to the 25th day of November 2007. I asked for the update on the fliers, SMS campaigns etc for the 25th day of November event and I received positive feedback but never got any feedback to the tune of 100,000 over people to actually turn up on the 25th day of November 2007. On hindsight the police special branch reports would have then revealed the possible 100,000 over people to turn up and thus the intensified print and electronic media propaganda to deter people from attending. We finished our meeting at about 11. 30 p. m. . Nobody really paid much attention to poor Waytha Moorthy who was by then send to the Sg Buloh prison as we were all focused on the 25th day of November 2007 Rally.
