When we spoke the Select Committee on Electoral Reforms chaired by it’s deputy Dato Radzi Sheikh Ahmad M.P., Dr. Hatta Ramli responded that our request may be “mundur” (backward). Without  mincing his words P. Uthayakumar retorted that if and only if the Malay and Chinese political leaders had also cared to champion Indian issues, then 100,000 Indian poor would not have come out to the streets on the 25th November 2007 Hindraf Rally.

Uthayakumar then cited the latest example of the 1,660 Bersih Rally participants arrested were not prosecuted. Also the 14 PR Councillors E06 and another 16 Bersih activists had the charges against them dropped because of the PR Malay and Chinese political leaders pressure on the authorities.

But for the 54 Hindraf activist on anti Interlok and anti UMNO Racism, the UMNO Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail is going on full steam and the top Malay and Chinese leaders from both sides of the political spectrum do not care.

For Dr. Hatta Ramli his boss Hadi Awang, Anwar Ibrahim and Lim Kit Siang there only want the Indian votes never their problems welfare or wellbeing.
And when we point this out we are labbeled as mundur, racist, Indian Perkasa etc.

But then we suppose this is bi racial 1 Malay-sia.

The HRP & Hindraf delegations consisted of P. Uthayakumar, A. Sukumaran, S. Jayathas, S. Thiagarajan,G. Ganeson, K.M.Raj and C. F. Mani.
