LTTE: Attorney General plays dirty
On 28/11/07 at the Shah Alam Sessions Court hearing of bail for the 69 Hindraf supporters the Attorney General Tan Sri Gani Patail suddenly made a statement in open Court that these 69 Hindraf supporters should not be granted bail as they and Hindraf are linked to the terrorist group Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) of Sri Lanka. I jumped up and protested in the strongest terms and told the AG off and challenged him to show proof and not to make mere sweeping allegations. The Sessions Court Judge cut me short by telling me that she had expunged this statement by the AG from the Court records. The AG similarly backed off but only to turn “UMNO politician” and to subsequently in collaboration with the press taint Hindraf with links to LTTE and terrorism thereafter in his media statements as the AG and UMNO had failed in all their other legal avenues. UMNO by this time had become bankrupt of ideas and were stooping so low as to spreading lies through the UMNO controlled print and electronic media propaganda machines. I have only read books, articles and seen documentaries about Mussolini’s and Hitler’s propaganda machinery. But at that time I was actually seeing and going through one in action not by Mussolini or Hitler but by the Malay-sian Prime Minister Badawi and his deputy Najib led UMNO propaganda machinery. The AG had repeated this LTTE charge in the local newspapers for the first time within a few days of the 25th November event. The A.G is about the only person who is above the law in Malaysia for no one can prosecute him for his malicious and criminal defamation.
