Bottom line is by the stroke of the pen racist UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak can almost instantaneously solve this problem.
Similarly Prime Minister in waiting Anwar Ibrahim could have included this issue in his Buku Jingga – Pakatan Rakyat manifesto, that this problem would be resolved within 6 months of he coming to power at Putrajaya.
UMNO has been using MIC as their mandores for 55 long years.
And the ex UMNO deputy Prime Minister has conveniently brought this UMNO mandore culture into PKR/Pakatan Today’s newsreport (3/4/10) is the peak.
If and only is Anwar, Azmin, Saifuddin or another top Malay PKR and Pakatan leader had led the delegation to Putrajaya, this fracas would not have happened.
There is no way the MIC gangsters would have attacked the Malay, PKR & Pakatan leaders.
Why Anwar directs his powerless showcase Indian Vice President to lead?
We thought PKR & Pakatan is multi- racial?
And the shame of it is why is PKR and Pakatan only raising this stateless issue at the eleventh hour as the imminently impending 13th General Elections political rhetoric.
From our day to day monitoring we have no records of any top Pakatan Rakyat Malay or Chinese leader ever championing this very serious issue especially ever since they won in Selangor, Kedah, Penang and Perak.
We have vide our official letters asked the Selangor State government to set up a full fledged Unit at the heart of the Selangor State secretariat especially in the light of the ex UMNO Selangor MB Khir Toyo stating that there are some 40,000 Indian poor children in Selangor alone that had been denied their Birth Certificate.
But the Selangor Pakatan did an UMNO number by appointing a mandore NGO to deal with it and giving them a small “peruntukan”. This only reflects no political will in seriously trying to solve this very serious problem.
This is exactly what UMNO had been doing in the previous 50 years by pushing the buck to their MIC mandores.
