UMNO force Tamil school in containers Qualifies for Guinness Book of World Records

UMNO force Tamil school in containers Qualifies for Guinness Book of World Records

Tamil school pupils in SJKT Jugra in Banting have to study in a steel box, cramped up and in claustrophobic conditions because of shortage of classrooms, and 214 Tamil school pupils are cramped into six classrooms and two classes had to be held in either the library or canteen. The library and allocated space for the classes are only separated by book racks. A visit by the Malay Mail found that the library was not only lacking in reading material, it could only fit less than 15 pupils at one time. (MM 24/2/2010 at page 5).

How come this does not happen to any Malay, Islamic, Chinese or Arabic schools in Malaysia?

As usual to add insult to injury UMNO gets it’s Indian mandore to do a wayang kulit giving the impression as if UMNO had done a favour to the Indians and this is blasted in the three Tamil newspapers, Tamil Radio and TV Tamil news.

UMNO & PKR: Tamil school to be built in town drama

UMNO & PKR: Tamil school to be built in town drama

UMNO & PKR: Tamil school to be built in town drama

A newsreport is published to give the wayang kulit impression that the SJKT Ladang Sabak Bernam will be moved from the plantation to the Sabak Bernam town (BH 15/3/2010 page 7). But the title to the Tamil school land in Sabak Bernam is not issued or a black and white letter from the Selangor state government confirming that the title would be issued was never given to the school. Building of a (Tamil) school is a basic necessity in any part of the world. But only for Malaysia it becomes a news item for the political benefit of UMNO and also the PKR, DAP, MIC and PAS mandores. How come we never read news items of any Malay, Chinese, Orang asli, Kadazan or Iban to be built?Because it is a basic necessity and not a big deal let alone press worthy in the Malay, Chinese and English press. Whereas for the opening ceremony of a Malay or Chinese school the answer is a big yes.

42% Tamil schools pupils cannot read and write – poverty related

42% Tamil schools pupils cannot read and write – poverty related

42% Tamil schools pupils cannot read and write – poverty related

42% or an estimated 10,000 tamil school pupils attending standard one at Tamil schools cannot read and write at all because they could not afford and therefore did not attend kindergarden (MO 10/3/10 at page 3).

This is despite the RM 48 million allocation for education in the 2010 Budget (NST and Star Headlines 24/10/09). But this RM 48 Million does not reach almost all of the 523 Tamil schools and so they do not have kindergardens.

To the contrary the One Malay-sian Prime Minister Najib Razak’s wife using the millions allocated just for Permata Kindergardens is introducing even graduate teachers from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris for the thousands of almost all malay muslim Permata pre-schools.

There are 5,900 places in 39 MSRM colleges and 6,000 places in fully residential schools (BH 17/1/2010 at page 16) – all for malays, 7,575 out of the 10,000 schools in the country are three to five star rating schools under the Smart school Qualification Standards (SSQS) with another 5% targeted to be increased by year end. (The Star 13/2/2010 at page N26).

But never mind if ten thousand of these Tamil school pupils cannot read and write.

This is the official One – Malaysia Policy by Prime Minister Najib Razak!

S’gor PKR Indian Exco mandore’s peanuts for River estate Tamil school.

S’gor PKR Indian Exco mandore’s peanuts for River estate Tamil school.

S’gor PKR Indian Exco mandore’s peanuts for River estate Tamil school.

Why not land for all 98 Tamil schools in Selangor all in one go? By granting this land, the Federal UMNO government would be forced to grant full financial aid to all these 98 Tamil schools in Selangor and this River Estate would not need the peanuts grant of RM 24,845.60.

Why yet again this Tamil newspaper kosong wayang kulits paper politics vis a vis political rhetoric?

Why is Anwar Ibrahim’s PKR like UMNO not giving a permanent solution to all 523 Tamil schools in Malaysia which would directly benefit 110,000 Indian students but instead use their Mandores to do the usual wayang kulit.

Because they lose Malay votes?

MIC should be ashamed of what it has not done for the Indians in the country.

MIC should be ashamed of what it has not done for the Indians in the country.

MIC should be ashamed of what it has not done for the Indians in the country.

What a bloody shame. The MIC Deputy Minister proudly declares that the Tamil schools have come a long way. There is now a toilet and one classroom for each standard from only two toilets for the whole school. .

Article 8 of the Federal Constitution provides for Equality before the law.

Article 12 of the same provides for in effect no discrimination in Education. Providing for free primary education is the law, norm and practice in any part of the World . Primary education is foundational and great care must be taken to ensure quality for primary education. But for these deceiving MIC mandores a toilet and one classroom for each standard is an accomplishment and this after 50 years. These mandores continue to keep the poor Indian hand outstretched so they can continue to make a picture of generosity in the newspapers . We do not need such generosity, it is false generosity. True generosity is when we work to never have that hand outstretched any more. But this is not in the paradigm of the parasites in our society.

MIC mandores please stop this bloody nonsense.

The theme in Indian Primary education system is one of always trying just to get the basics in place – proper classrooms, proper facilities for the school, own land for the school, playgrounds for the school, adequate and well trained teaching staff for the schools – this is where the Tamil primary schools are at today. Under UMNOs’ MIC mandores and mandorism one classroom for each Tamil schools and a toilet for each room is a big deal after 50 years of opportunity (NST 21/2/10 at page 24).

Almost all Malay and Chinese schools have multi storey concrete school buildings full financial aid and fully equipped for the best studying and learning environment. The focus in the Chinese and Malay Primary education system is on producing excellence or world class and competitive junior citizens. Malay and Chinese schools are targeting 100% graduate teachers.

For Tamil schools which cater to the mostly poor and working class, alumni and well wishers (MO 17/2/2010 at page 9) have to chip in to even buy the elementary and basic necessities of tables and chairs, computers, library books, note books, school bags, uniforms etc for the 110,000 Indian children in the 523 Tamil schools nationwide. There are even 600 untrained teachers in Tamil schools.

MIC should be ashamed of what it has not done for the Indians in the country. It should not be putting out nonsense like this in the media – it is utterly shameful.
